Check that the bill is yours to pay
Find your latest electricity and water bill. Match the account reference and property details to your home. If you rent, check the tenancy agreement first: the landlord may handle the account, or your rent may include utilities up to a stated allowance.
Confirm the balance shown and any payment date stated. Do not assume an old bill still reflects the current amount due.
Have the account details ready
Keep the bill or account reference beside you, along with a payment method accepted by the official service. Some account services may require a sign-in or identity checks; use the requirements shown for your chosen service rather than a general checklist from an unofficial website.
Open an official channel yourself
Start at the Electricity and Water Authority website ↗ and follow its current bill-payment guidance. The Bahrain National Portal ↗ is another place to find government service information. Check the destination before entering account or card details. Avoid payment links from unexpected messages.
Review before confirming
Check the account reference, amount and any charges displayed. Read the payment summary before authorising the transaction. We do not list accepted cards, processing times or fees here because these can vary by channel and change.
Save the result and check the balance
Keep the confirmation, transaction reference and payment date. If the screen times out or the outcome is unclear, check your payment method and account status before trying again. An authorisation or pending bank entry is not necessarily confirmation that EWA has credited the account. Use official support if the records do not match.
Never send us payment details
viewabahrain cannot accept payments or check your EWA balance. Do not share card numbers, passwords, identity documents or one-time codes with this portal.
